In 2026, people from across the globe will flock to the biggest sporting event in the world: the FIFA World Cup. The tournaments – which will take place from June 11 to July 19 – will be held in 16 cities across North America, 11 of which are in the U.S. But in addition to exorbitant ticket prices (which start at around $140 for the cheapest group stages and surpass $8,600 for final rounds), superfans also have to save for accommodations.
According to a recent report from Deloitte, nightly rates in host cities are expected to rise by at least 90%, though individual listings may give increases of over 300%.
